Here is the cutie, found him in a pool of melted water on our lake we live on. I’m going to make him a nice little tank but I was wondering if they need flowing water?
They definitely do better in flowing water - they require higher levels of dissolved oxygen. They do best in cooler temperatures (60s - low 70s) and appreciate a substrate of small gravel and fine sand with some larger rocks to hide under.
Super cool find but good luck getting it to adulthood. Pupation requirements are ridiculous for these guys. Agreed with everything Umbra said about care.
