I finally found someone in my area that has a female for him! I'm so happy. Took some definite searching and networking, but it's pretty much finalised. I was afraid I'd have to give up hope. Also apparently they can be traded/bartered/gifted across State lines as long as no money changes hands, which I think was mentioned here on a thread recently, too.

Yep, they can cross state lines as long as they aren't part of profitable activity (buying, selling, and trading). Thankfully, gifts and breeding loans (including you getting offspring in return) dont fall under profitable activity.
