I believe it to be Phidippus audax as I live in Va. Frsh out of its molt it looks stunning but I am curious about its sex.
it looks nearly identical to this male florida jumping spider I found online http://www.users.uswest.net/~phidippus/regiusm2.jpg
Except its white is much more pronounced and its legs 1 and 2 got huge(comparativley speaking of course)
Sorry I dont have a pic but only a crappy digi that could never take a pic of something so small with good quality.
Are the females and males easily differentiated at maturity by color and can the large white bands be an indicator?
