My daughter, age four, went to the zoo today for preschool. It's just a small local zoo. The following conversation occurred later this evening.
Lydia: "Daddy, I went to the zoo today and they had one tarantula."
Me: " Oh yeah, what kind was it?"
Lydia: "I don't remember, but it was black and a little grey too."
Me: "Was it an Aphonopelma?"
Lydia: "No."
Me: "Was it a Grammostola?"
Lydia: "Yes actually. A Grammostola pulchra I think"
I'm calling the zoo when it opens in the morning to see if they were showing a Grammastola pulchra to the preschoolers yesterday. I think we are going to get ice cream if they were.
