Hi.

I guess I have a chaco going for a molt because the bald spot was pinkish for some days and now it has started to turn darker and darker and now it's nearly black and she's on the big side, 6 inches+, though her apitite is on the high side, eating still, no fasting, so that's kinda my question: Bald spot going dark/black but eating big time, is it pre-molt? :)

I'd say it sounds like pre-molt to me. It may take some time before your chaco is ready to molt though.

Yeah, the dark coloring developing on the abdomen is a sign of a molt to come. That's actually the new bristles growing under the old exo. Like Jeremy said though, it may still be a little while. Especially if she's 6" already. Sometimes waiting for them to molt is slower than friggin' christmas. Don't worry though, it's going to happen soon. Good luck with her. :)
