[ Movie Question ] -- Sorta ( T-Related )

I just wondered.......

For the movie ARACHNOPHOBIA ( yes, the movie that, for a long time made me SEIZURE afraid of Tarantulas OMG )

What adult T's and what slings were used? There's a scene where a large T mated with a domestic house spider.

But the baby spiders, you couldn't really get a good look at.

So I just wondered if you guys knew what species they used

Here you go...this will answer at least part of your question.

I couldn't pin down what large spiders were used, and it has been years since i saw it, but some of the big spiders were animatronic, and i presume live tarantulas were used for certain scenes. if i recall correctly, ththere was a really large one that kicked off the infestation, so maybe they used a T. blondi or a L. parahybana along with mechanical ones. . But all the smaller ones were the ones described in the link. It's Wikipedia, not always a reliable source, so I checked and other sources support Wikipedia;s info

Love the movie. Always used to try find out what kinds were used, but can't for the life of me remember what was used for 'the General'and the 'queen'.
