My H.gigas container was -swimming- with little white mites. I have the sling in a quarantine jar and washed out the container with dial soap and hot water, will that do the trick?

V,
My H.gigas enclosure has mites in it too.
I did a search on mites and found plenty of info.
I'm not going to worrie about it, they just seem to come back.
Moisture = mites?

PS: Code Monkey has some good insite on the subject, look for his thread or replie on mites..

It should, Just let the spider be a little dry for a few days and that should be all you will need, Best of luck.

Sincerely,

I think I've ranted enough about paranoia with mites and the difference between mites and spring tails. People can seach on this one since I've answered the same questions twice over and I'm really busy tonite ;)
