Hi, I have some bagged dry oak leaves from a pet store that was opened but I haven't really needed to use alot of it since I only have 4 millipedes.

How long should I keep these until I throw them away? They are starting to develop some light brown spotting on the leaves.

Millipedes eat leaf litter. I don't mean leaves that are simply dried, but leaves that have gone brown and started to rot. It sounds like you've got leaves that were dried and they're now starting to decompose, which is a good thing. The main thing is to keep them dry. You can store them as long as you like as long as they're dry.

@Polenth is right, as long as they’re stored dry they won’t begin to grow mold and/or fungus. It definitely sounds like they’re starting to decompose. Pretty much, the only millipede food that expires is supplemental foods such as cucumber, carrots, etc.
