Not from my experience, no. Most males make it out just fine after pairing. Afterwards, they're back to normal. After all, they simply carry the sperm in their pedipalps. Not like giving that up shortens their lifespan. They are specifically designed to mate with as many females as possible, as effectively as possible.
Mature male lifespans have been a bit under-exaggerated. Expect a solid year out of a mature male. Much longer if it's an arid species.
