Anyone got any idea as to the family, genus or species of this ground spider?
It tends to sort of feel its prey with its front legs before it..... bam!

Thanks exopet. Pretty spot on I think. Funny there is no record of this family in Malaysia.
Shows either there are not much studies being carried out here on spiders or there is still a lot more to be explored.

I kno thw range starts in Europe and they are found in New Zealand too (Uliodon sp) so it would seem likely that you have them there, looks almost identical to Zoropsis spinimana, but they are arboreal

Wouldn't say Zoropsidae, but a regular Ctenidae typical of the region.

    Hi
Ctenidae for sure, looks like Ctenus spp.
