Problem Learning to use this website...help!

I just activated my account and can not seem to figure out how to post in any other thread topics besides this one. I am looking to buy a <edit> and can't find one anywhere? Any suggestions?

You're also able to post a Want to Buy thread there, but only after you've achieved Active Member status. You can read more about what that entails here:

As for actually posting, open up any subforum where you'd like to make a thread and click on "Post New Thread" in the upper right hand corner. Please pay attention to where you're posting - different subforums are for different purposes, and those purposes are outlined below the subforum title.

I also edited out what you were looking to buy from your post, as that amounted to a WTB ad and that is only allowed in the classifieds section.

To expand yet further

If you are looking to buy from a seller in the classifieds, keep in mind that you cannot reply to classifieds ads, to reply to the seller, you need to click on their avatar or user name, then a box will open in the middle of your screen with their basic info. Here you will see "start a conversation". You click that and it opens the personal message system and allows you to send a private message to them and negotiate sales or just ask questions.

But wait, there's more.

You can also find contact information for the seller in their user profile under the "Reviews & Reports" tab. Just click on the name that appears and it will bring you to their review item with contact information, in addition to their reviews. If you do not see a review and report tab, well then they should not have an active ad in the classifieds section. In that case, please click on the report button inside their post and alert us so we can correct that issue. Thanks!
