Died of a wet molt sometime last night, I inspected him today and the mites had got to him. There was no heartbeat or movement so i froze him.

I had figured something was going to go wrong as he has been kept in the same conditions as his other two siblings. Same food/misting cycle/temperatures. They both molted a week and a half ago.

I just wanted to report this because i know it has happened to others in the past.

He was around 3 inches.

I'm sorry for your loss. What a touchy species to keep in captivity. :(

I lost one completely out of the blue a couple months ago. The other three I purchased seem to be doing fine. From what I've read, low humidity coupled with high temperatures is the culprit.

I had two 1.5-2" specimens die for absolutely no reason at all. Both were feeding well, but suddenly, abruptly, randomly died. Humidity and temperature were both relatively high. One of them molted, ate a few days afterward, then suddenly died. :?

Sorry for your loss.

yeah, notice that last one. :(

That was rough for me to take as it was my only one at the time.

At least I have two more, a male and a female. I really want to breed this species.

Edit thanks Gavin :(
