First post so please do let me know if I’m asking in completely the wrong place & apologies if it’s a silly question! Very new to keeping bugs!
I’ve had these stunning/terrifying horrid king assassin bugs for around 4-5 months, I love it, just stare at them for hours! I’ve only ever seen successful moults, at various stages. However today, it seemed maybe an antenna was pulled out during moult. It left a little ball of gunk just above its eyes, I tried to take a small piece of absorbent paper on the end of tweezers to clean him up but it didn’t absorb May have slightly hardened?! The remaining antenna was attached to the moult for a while & doesn't look right too… tried to put a little water drop on the moult to soften it and he has broken away now from the moult now.
Wondered if there is anything I can do to help it? Has anyone seen anything like this before? Will it be okay with one dodgy antenna?! All pointers & advice welcome.
