This is a fascinating trait rarely brought up concerning Orthoporus, here is a quick video I hadn't uploaded in the past of this slightly carnivorous nature! BTW When I mention beef jerky I don't mean slim jims hahaha I mean old fashioned cured unseasoned beef jerky like home made. A while back I took a video of an orange head roach devouring a still living cricket it had grabbed onto. I thought it was super cool and surprising that a roach actually restrained and killed a cricket in an act of predation and reminds me of this video.

I was told they can't bite! I could have sworn one of my smoky oaks was trying to bite me when I first got it XD

They like the bacteria on our skin  and our skin in general too! Ahaha
Oh yes! And I think Orthoporus ornatus is especially prone to do so! I was handling some today at an expo, looking for a male and they weren't stressed -- no secretions -- but one was hungry and crawled up my wrist and began to eat! :hurting:

Of course that is my silliness for letting it keep scraping away before moving it! Maybe I was curious how far it would go? Idk, I am weird! :wacky:

Anyway, bought him and on the way home grabbed a bite to eat and shared a bit of hamburger! :p (Not something I normally feed my millipedes -- neither beef nor myself, lol.)

I feed mine dead pinkie mice, and i'm not sorry about it. They love 'em! They eat the whole thing.
