Hello! I am new to the forum so I hope this post is in the right section.

I drew my sister for Christmas gifts this year and she has seemed interested in tarantulas for a while now. I was wondering if you think it is a good idea for me purchase one for her to get into the hobby(it would be for hers of course).

I was thinking of getting the curly haired tarantula as I've done some research and most places and sheets say that it is a very good starter tarantula. I have a rough idea of what I will need and I think I could do it. What do you guys think I should do?

good starter, and whatever you do, dont believe care sheets. you dont need to pay much attention to humidity just overfill water dish once a week and keep it at about room temperature

They are the best readily available beginner species IMO, pretty much bulletproof care-wise, generally docile temperament, decent growth rate (if you get a sling or juvenile), good eaters and generally out in the open a lot once they hit 3-4", really underrated species.
