I caught this girl about a month ago or more and today I saw her build a thick retreat and she made an egg sac against the side wall (she appears to still be in the process of wrapping it up too). I had a wolf spider make a sac in teh past but I let the mother keep and carry her sac, and eventually the babies climbed on her back and it was really a beautiful thing to see IMO, but I know it doesn't work like that with pretty much any other spider lol.
I searched the forums and didn't see anything that fit the bill for my questions but I do want to keep her offspring so basically...
1) Should I or should I not pull the sac? (I'm not too sure how it works with these spiders lol)
1a)If I should pull the sac, how many days until I should pull it?
2)What kind of care should the spiderlings receive and at what point should they be separated?
Any additional info would be awesome as well.
I'm not sure what species she is, most of them I see around here are the Phidippus audax, she's the first I've seen with this color and pattern around here and I think she is absolutely beautiful. Anyone know what species she is?
Thanks in advance!
