Help! My boyfriend’s ivory millipede looks like this. He just moved it closer to the heat pad, but it wasn’t near before. He got them about two months ago, and takes excellent care of them, checks on them multiple times a day. They’re eating a diet of natural bark, leaves, plus fruits and veggies. The kritter keeper is heated because the house is very cold, and the substrate is changed often and kept very high in humidity. The millipede was apparently doing everything fine just yesterday, but now looks like this, is secreting yellow liquid, only some of the middle legs are responsive, and the white stripes are apparently getting darker. Is the millipede okay? Molting maybe? There’s another ivory in there so maybe they mated and eggs are stuck or something? I don’t know a ton about millipedes, but my boyfriend is very upset and convinced he did something wrong. Any advice would be helpful.
