He seemed to want to get out of there real quick afterwards lol.
Never had a problem using the ruler. I have had to use it to defend males many times and short of stabbing them with force on the carapace I don't see how you could hurt them in the process of separating them. I would be more worried about an injury using a pointed chopstick or tweezers. But even then they are easy tools to use as well. I have used tweezers as well but prefer the ruler because it is very flexible and does the job nicely.Great video.. do you ever find it difficult to use the ruler to separate them? I think I might do more harm than good trying to push that ruler between them in a hurry. I probably dont have the best reflexes either though.
