I'd never realized/seen this before so thought I would share. It was a cute surprise for me

About ~2 months ago I introduced my first "fancy" isopod species to one of my vivariums (P.Ornatus high yellow)... well today I was checking up on things and noticed one of the isopods hanging out on the cork bark next to a small crevice in it, something just looked a bit peculiar about it so I took a closer look and saw.... tons of tiny wriggling antennae poking out of it! She is diligently guarding her babies! I threw a couple fish flake treats in for the little dudes and she seemed quite grateful for the food delivery, and after eating a little herself began dutifully ferrying flakes back to the entrance of the tiny baby cave. Even something as small and alien looking as an isopod can show you we are all really just made of the same stuff.

That is so cool that you were able to witness the mother feeding the mancae! I’ve never witnessed that...
