My c.versicolor sling created the prettiest funnel web...

Then, after she molted, she has completely destroyed it. It's all raggedy now.

Is it normal for Ts to chew up their web? Or whatever she's done to it?

My A. avic does the same thing. She makes the most beautiful webbing a few weeks before molting and then takes it all down a few weeks after. I do think it's sad to see the webbing go, but it is useful as an indicator of an upcoming molt.

My A avic only webs on demand. Ie premolt.

She'll make the loveliest web fortress and then let it just fall apart over the next year.

It's normal.

As WoofSpider said this is commonly observed in the weeks/months leading up to a molt (depending on age and length of premolt).

I've also noticed a number of my pokies including my miranda and rufilata tend not to web much when rehoused until they are in premolt.
