It was mentioned on another thread that Petco was selling imperators. I called my local Petco and sure enough, the had a couple of them. I tried to sex at the store and thought I had identified it as female. Which is what I want since I have a male. I get it home and it looks male. Thoughts?

The pectines of a males are larger and have 14 to 17 teeth. The pectines of females will have 14 to 16 teeth. For me, the image alone is too dark to get a count.

Ok, I've been trying to get decent photos of both imperators to sex them. Now I swear I think they're both female when I originally thought my first was male. My photo capabilities suck! But thought I'd share anyways and hope for the best. Any help in identifying the sex of these scorpions is much appreciated.

They are juveniles and are in a 10 gallon aquarium with different hides, etc. But they seem to be happier close to one another and burrowing near each other.
