i added some to my enlosure and shortly after 2 pedes died and so far ive narrowed the cause to cold weather like my room was coooooold at night or the new addition of moss?

I doubt it was the moss, I'm not a millipede expert but Isopods Love sphagnum moss

Unless the moss had chemicals in it. Then that could be the culprit

it was from a reptile shop and was recommended for amphibians so it should be safe i guess?

Depending on the brand and the ingredients, the moss should be safe. I'd be more worried about the temperature. As @hecklad asked, what species did you have?

Hope this helps,

@rachmills, the temperature is almost certainly the problem then, as Ivories really do not do well once the temperature drops below 65-70F or so; how cold did it get?

Thanks,
