My local pet store had one of these in today (also known as New Guinea Rust Orange). It is an absolutely stunning T with price to match and I was wondering if anybody else had one of these and if so what are they like in terms or temperament/speed etc.

I don't want to spend a load of money on something that is going to be hard to care for or is going to try to bite me at every opportunity. All feedback will be gratefully received.

The Selenocosmia genus is a very neat one. They're VERY fast and are thought to have a pretty nasty bite. I keep mine rather humid and give them at least 8 inches to burrow into. All of my Selenocosmias have dug down all the way to the bottom. Be careful with them...

If you don't want to spend a load of money on something that will try to bite at every opportunity, then Selenocosmia aren't for you. In character and habits most are like Haplopelma sp.
