There's no need to worry about the brown recluse (Loxosceles reclusa) in New Jersey, as it's not found there.

Your spider is a mature male nursery web spider (Pisaurina mira) -- quite harmless.

I'm going to leave it to you to mention to Vetter the label on that link reads wrong. (Range of Reclusa and other Loxo species)
