This is the first live tailless whipscorpion I've ever seen! And I'm so excited!! I've wanted to see one for so long. My mom asked me if I wanted to look at a "spider with really long antennae" before she squished it. Of course I objected to the squishing, so I went to save this strange creature, and this is what I found (let me know if you know the species - I'm in Phoenix, AZ by the way):

Has anyone here ever tried looking in the containers that hold the controls for either electricity or plumbing such as hoses for critters? I don't know what they are called...but around here they are real good hiding places for a lot of critters. Just take the top off and look inside. The best ones are in the shade of course. Around here, I can find camel crickets in them. Maybe whipscorpions would use them where you live.
