ID? looks like these guys went swimming in camo paint

i dont really know where to start, WAS a family of them setting up house in the corner of a window and fell out when it was closed, all have since died or ran away, i personally wouldnt call them big or small, about half an inch or so the biggest ones were

They are orb weavers of some sort, but I can't find anything that resembles them too closely. Quite a challenging ID for me, being unfamiliar with NZ spiders.

The image with the underside of the spider shows markings almost identical to an orb weaver we have here in Australia, but the ones I've seen are orange with gold striping. I don't know the name though

As with many orb weavers, the coloration and markings are somewhat variable between individuals, but see for example:
Got to agree max there. Ever since I saw a pink Araneus Marmoreus with light blue markings.... WTF? Halloween came early?
