This little guy (looks to be a mature male) wandered around my classroom for two days before I finally caught him. I had screaming children when he walked across the front wall during a test (they should know to not be scared of spiders now) and we all took a few minutes and took note of how good the eyesight appeared to be (it would follow us).

Any clue as to what this is? It was found in Southeast Tennessee, USA. I think it's some type of jumping spider. It's about 1".

Looks like Phidippus audax. Great little spiders. Kept one for a while about 2 years ago. They're fun to have around.

We have those little buggers all over up here. I usually let them in the house during summer and watch them wander the curtains, hunting flies.

I had one living in my roach bin for a very long time. She even molted twice in there. She would catch lobster nymphs whenever she got hungry :)
I loved picking up the piece of paper towel roll she was on, and watching her follow me with those eyes!
