...that curly hairs were so pretty! I recently got one for my mom, and I'll be "babysitting" it for a few weeks for her until she can come down to get it, along with the rest of her inverts.

Wow, this one must have molted very recently, because its colors are fantastic! I had actually seen a curly in a pet store once, and I wasn't very impressed at the time (probably because it was underfed, bald, and in generally bad shape). If you would have told me then that this was a nice looking species, I never would have believed you, but boy, I'm biting my tongue now!

Are they generally quite red after a molt, or could this just be a nice specimen?

This is the little curly I was talking about...the pic isn't very good - doesn't do it justice.

BTW, its about 3-3 1/2 inches or so.

No question about how the common name for that one came about! Nice...they do usually look great after a molt....especially the young ones.
