    Found this little guy while walking around in my backyard yesterday. Anyone got any ideas as to what it is? Thanks in advance. :)

    def looks like a crab spider of sorts.

    hard to tell from a distance though, all i can do is chance a guess. maaaybe misumena, maaaybe vatia?

  6. Thanks everyone for the I.D. I don't really need it identified down to a sp. level, I was just curious as to what kind it was. I think I'm going to go out tomorrow and see what else I can find. Watching that little one was far too entertaining to not to go out and see what else I can find. :)

    That looks like a Philodromidae (Running Crab Spiders) to me.

    Philodromus sp., maybe P. rufus
