Hey guys. I was camping up at Moreton a while ago and we came across one centipede (no photos) and this hhuuuge huntsman that we captured. Anybody know what it might be? It's probably the biggest I've seen..

Sorry for the rubbish pictures, I'm considerably frightened of it hahaha

That thing is huge Phil. I'm not afraid of my T, but I have to say I'm afraid of huntsmens. I know that the latter are nowhere near as aggressive as Ausssie T's, but it is just that scuttling, quick way of moving they have. And I agree with Isopeda immanis

I'm definitly more freaked out by hunstmans than I am T's. They can climb walls and glass and they're sssooo fast.... Shudder.

Australia is full of either very large things, or very venomous things...

Or both.

Are these available to buy in North America?

I couldn't find them available in North America, and eventually ordered a bunch from Slovenia. They were sold to me as H. immanis, however I'm pretty sure what I got was H. insignis based on coloring, very similar.

I'm guessing its a male. did you find that or buy it?
Yes it is a male.

To answer the second question I refer to my original post
"I was camping up at Moreton a while ago and we came across one centipede (no photos) and this hhuuuge huntsman that we captured."
