Anyone got an estimate on how long a smithi stops eating before a molt? Mine stopped eating on the 28th, and drank her water dish completely dry over the night (which amazed me LoL). As far as her color goes, she doesn't seem to be getting darker, but has a slightly lighter colored spot developing in a small area. I was just wonder about how long it'll take for her to get down to it. I never get to see any of my Ts molt...

I can't answer your question, but I can tell you that it will vary greatly depending upon size/age of the T. It may vary from individual to individual as well. You're going to need to post info on size and possible age for those in the know to be able to give you an estimate.

4 inch female, age said to be 1.5 years but that sounds like a load of crap.

Well since it is only the 1st of feb, I don't think you need to worry. I only feed my tarantulas twice a month or so. It could be that it is just not hungry.

You have no need to worry, just make sure it has a full water bowl. I would wait like a week plus before trying to feed it again, so you don't stress it out if it is in deed in premolt.
