how does a leg just grow back??

    I understand that if a spider loses its leg it can come back with a sucessful molt, but where does it come from? Meaning: where does it grow under the exoskeleton in between molts? I have always wondered this

    It usually regenerates under the exoskeleton along with the other organs that are about to be renewed preceding a molt...{D

    ahh. so all of its legs are just like folded up in there?

    exactly... sometimes the lost leg doesn't regenerate to its full size, so it may take a couple more molts before it is back to original...:) i think the experts will agree with me..{D
