I finally transferred one of my Hogna schmitzi into a new enclosure. I am not completely sure what does their natural habitat look like, but I tried my best to replicate the environment I see in pictures on google of this species.

I went for an arid set up.

One day later it started to use this gap between the mud stone tiles as a hide~

Anyone know how to tell if it is mature? and how to sex them? I was told the only way is to look at their epigynum.

They aren’t mature yet. The legs become more vibrant. I also think they grow larger.

Well, there he is~ He’s done some modifications to the enclosure, so it’s a bit of a mess now. Hopefully my these one is a female.
