Hi guys,

I just adopted 4 hisser roaches from a friend who couldn't keep them anymore. I can tell that they are 3 males due to the horns and possibly a female or young male since no horns.
One of the roaches looked weird to me and I noticed that the back 2 legs seem to be broken since he doesn't move hem at all. He still has the whole legs but if they get caught over the carapace or are in a weird angle he doesn't control them.

I have tarantulas and I know that they cast off the broken legs. What about roaches? Would this affect his molts? Should i help him in any way?

I tried doing a search and it came back with no results.
Please help :(

If not mature he will molt and repair the damaged legs. Even without the legs he will be able to survive just fine. Hissers are battle tanks.

Thanks for the reply :)

I wasn't sure if I should remove him frm the tank until he got better, I will leave him alone and let him be his awesome self.

Tiny, tiny splints:)

Scoolman's right. As long as he can get to the chow he'll be fine.

I had a large male and a few females survive about 8 weeks with no food or water.
