Anyone ever see one this red? They are typically yellow or brown here and never this color. Was found by a little girl at my baby shower, in the Sandia mountains around 8000ft elevation, now I plan to breed for high color.

I thought these were difficult to care for since they require formic acid in their diet?

What sort of permits are required to collect these in New Mexico? Oh wait in looking over the list of reptiles legal to take this species is not on it.

There is a general collection permit and an easily obtained list with number you are allowed to collect on it, cost $50 per person and must be updated yearly.

Hmm, I looked at such a list and did not see the genus or species listed on it at all. Perhaps I missed it somehow or I am looking at an old list.
