I think it was probably an aquatic insect in the family Nepidae, which superficially resemble scorpions. Although I find it surprising that a LPS would have these, even if they are an exotic specialist...
I think I found a picture of it? It's the only thing on their website that looks like it.

M. Giganteus? They're a speciality store for reptiles, but they started branching out into more arachnids.

I could be entirely wrong. They only had one on display in an aquatic tank with fake plants for cover/climb on, I believe? It might have been something else they already sold and removed from the site.

They even have rf baboons now, and had a Goliath bird eater recently.

M. giganteus is a terrestrial arachnid, but is quite close looking to Water Scorpions.

It's very possible that they indeed had a WS, they aren't "common" but are certainly available in the hobby.

Then what I saw was likely sold. I got my D. Pentaloris here. They have ts like P. Irmina, A. Francki, H. Albo, and P. Ornata. I think they get their stock from local breeders or as surrenders from folks who no longer want them. IIRC, most of the employees there are hobbyist breeders of one thing or another. I've never seen anything wc in their store, they're all labled cb.

That sounds like an awesome store. My local Reptile/Amphibian/Invert store has a really diverse selection of vertebrates but not much in the way of bugs. They have a nice variety of OW & NW T's, Mantids, Phasmids but things like Scorpions, Beetles and Amblypygi are rarely seen.
Although they have had crazy things on occasion such as Wetas and Solifugids!

It really is. It's not perfect, of course, and tends to be expensive, but it's one of the few that I see that actually cares for their animals and asks if you know how to care for your animals. If you're interested, they're super cool about folks taking pictures, and I don't mind snapping a few of the ts and scorps they have on display.
