Healthy, gravid, or just plain overweight?

    I have an H. arizonensis that I just aqquired and I have no idea if she's gravid or just overweight. I'll provide some pictures. Any help will he greatly appreciated!!!!

    That's what my P. Imperator looked like before giving birth. Her sides were very stretched as this scorpion in your pics looks. Hopefully she is gravid. Nice scorpion either way.

    Looks to be premolt to me. The metasoma in an adult Hadrurus arizonensis is usually much bigger.

    Looks like pre-molt to me as well.

    so shes not gravid?

    Without knowing what happened before you got her, it is possible she's gravid. However I've seen a couple of fat pre-molt H arizonensis before that looked the same. Plus yours does look a little small overall, could be fully grown but I'd bet there's at least one more molt before full maturity.
