the only haplopelma i have is an h.aeuropilosum asian black spiderling.the tarantula thinks its arboreal.in its vial, instead of burrowing,it built a big web going to the roof the vial that takes up the whole vial.is this normal for slings of the genus?a pic is attached with the vial on a slant with the ling happily perched on the huge tunnel web thing it made.thats where it spends all its time, its healthy, eats great but im just wondering do most haplopelma lings do this or do they burrow and maybe theres something wrong with mine.

I have an asian smokey that I recieved yesterday and even though I made a pre-borrow for it she only runs into it when startled. She made a tube web within hours of being in her new home - it comes off of the back of a piece of plastic I put on the ground as a hide. Maybe yours thinks the whole vial IS it's underground hide?

yeah,i herd that some people say the tarantula thinks the vial is a burrow so maybe its just webbing up its "burrow".
