Not interested in changing labels to tarantulas that will be reclassified as its original scientific name in the near future.
My post is about two species tarantulas that apparently almost looks the same. As I’ve mentioned on Facebook groups or of my own Facebook page, that Haplopelma lividum all of the legs are basically the same coloration including the pedipalps vs Haplopelma longipes Leg I and Leg II and pedipalps are lighter than Leg III and Leg IV. This is my observation of the photos I’ve taken of the species and what I’ve observed as a hobby keeper of owning both species. Since I no longer own lividum I can’t do any type of other characteristics of these two species. Maybe with luck I’ll pick up a lividum again and maybe I won’t.

Photos I and III are of Haplopelma lividum
Photos II and IV are of Haplopelma longipes.

So let the comments of the experts opinion begin....

I don't have any kind of opinion for you, but if this information is correct, I've definitely learned something.
