Handling a Poecilotheria

I was wondering all the different experiences everyone has had when handling a Poecilotheria??? Please include the amount you handle the T and the species of Pokie.

I'll start it off

I've held a P. regalis and a P. metallica. In my experience the P. regalis didn't like to be handled at all. It was very defensive and it was female. My P. metallica on the other hand doesn't seem to mind it, she is shy but def not defensive at all.

ya know the wierd thing is that I'm not horribly too afraid to hold my pokies until they get bigger. Saw my OBT out and not once did he thow up the pose? hopefully I will be lucky with the others :eek:

Experience

From my personal experience I think there bad reputation has been overblown just due to the reprocussions of being bitten. Obviously you don't want to get struck but I think the venom is what makes their reputation and not their attitude so to speak.
