Hey everyone just had a question about this pic I got off the web so its not mine but this H. mac looks very brown and just didn't know if they had different color forms like the OBTs or just if they get older they get a brownish color? also the link to the pic. http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5259/5528208186_5c57ee3e48_z.jpg

Nope, just one type of H.mac out there. The lighting can make a big difference in how the spider looks, very possible that older females begin to darken as well.

Stromatopelma species vary in colour, from cream to black.

H. mac doesnt have any variants afaik.

Factors for colourform in photo is the lighting and stage in moult cycle.

Thanks for the replies I have a female and is all she is grays and whites so I was surprised to that and interested.
