H. longimanus biting her hide

I just saw my h.longimanus biting her hide. Her hide is a tree bark and she actually bit it and got some pieces into her mouth after some time I decided to interrupt her and she went back inside her hide and spit pieces of the bark that she got. Anyone here experienced the same?

Here, in the circle is what she did:)
Sorry it's not that clear my phone's camera is bad.
Doesnt look terrible. But the stones in the water dish can harbor bacteria, best to remove them.
