I recently bought a pair of Grosphus madagascariensis. When they arrived, I was stunned by how big these guys were! (app. 3 - 3 1/2 in, total length)

But now my question is, are they G. madagascariensis? I was reading through some literature on differentiating the species. The two that fit the description and size are G. ankarana and G. flavopiceus. After looking at the pectines on the female, I'm leaning towards ankarana. Thoughts?

Nice pair you got there !!
They don't appear to be Grosphus madagascariensis as I had a nice group of them awhile back and they don't look like the 1's I had.
As far as ID'ing them as another grosphus specie - I would need to see better up close pics of them. I know there were a few members on here that had/have G. Ankarana so hopefully someone will chime in and help out with an ID.

Thank you both! I was thinking ankarana but I wasn't sure. How long is the gestation period on these guys? I'm not hugely familiar with breeding buthids.
