I am interested in caring for giant banana spiders. Is there anywhere I can start?
What's a banana spider? That's a common name for some very, VERY different spiders.
Try virginia cheeseman I think she sells some, and BugzUK does too.
Im from the US. As for banana spider, I am meaning by
Golden silk orb-weavers.
Banana spider is usually the common name for the Wandering Spider. The one I'm never lucky enough to find.
Nephila pilipes is the species I am mostly interested in. Now I hear they need like a net cube cage.
Yes a net cube or frame cage.
It should be easy to find them in Europe.
I'm talking about the Brazilian wanderer that are sometimes found.
I know, I thought you meant find them for sale.
Nephila, Phoneutria... no big difference
You need a very large cage frame for them, or else a door frame for it to web up if you don't have other pets or kids. They make a huge web. You can catch wild Nephila clavipes in Florida.
