Wow... this species is extreme.. I didnt know that anybody in the hobby has it right now..
I guess that you dont have more than one or any males?
If I may ask, how did you get her? (you could PM me if you want to)

If you are gonna breed it, good luck :) they are suposed to be very hard to breed..
But please sell me some slings :p

Hi,

[qoute]I didnt know that anybody in the hobby has it right now..[/qoute]

there are some in the hobby in europe, but only a very few. I hope they will be more in future. Maybe other ppl start to like other african species - and not only cause they are a bit "blue".

BTW: They occur on a very small Island and are endemic there.

It's an impressive spider that's for sure, but because there are only a few in the hobby the prices will be stupidly high for a while yet. I suppose this will take over from P. metallica as the latest "designer spider" when they become more widely available. I have heard the spiderlings are very difficult to raise. They come from an island off the coast of Yemen called Socotra.

I know that lots of plants in Socotra are protected, not sure about the animals. Look up Socotra on wikipedia, theres some info there.
