Hi Michael,

Your first female is very impressive !
She makes 3 eggsacs without moulting ?!?!?
Did you mate her a 3rd time before she makes her last sac ?

Nice to know that you like your second female, I hope you'll have the same result with her.

indeed...she is very productive...;)
I did mate her before she builds the second sac, but not before the third sac.
Maybe i have luck, but dont think that the third sac will be fertillized.

Nice to know that you like your second female, I hope you'll have the same result with her.
Yeah...its generall a very nice species and your female is doing also very well..
Whats on with your blue foot offspring?

As I told you, I found 79 eggs in the sac, I have 33 larvae (L2) and 46 no fertilized eggs, I put them together in the incubator.

Something very interesting has happened, yesterday I had a look in the incubator and I found only 22 no fertilized eggs and most of the 33 larvae with a very-very big abdomen !

Idiothele mira

Currently have one of my females sitting on a large sac. Fingers crossed, has this species successfuly been bred in the U.S before?

Here is one of my juvenile, female, Idiothele mira. They are becoming my most exciting specie.

Are my eyes or this species is another trapdoor tarantula just like Ornithoctoninae sp "Malthai"?
