Geniculata double molt?!

    Notice anything interesting on this picture? That's a freshly matured 7" A. geniculata. I have never seen a freshly molted T with a dark patch like that, could it be that a new molt is already underway? I have heard of it happening but it is supposedly incredibly rare. I can only guess that it is some sort of hormonal imbalance with the ecdysone causing a new ecdysis to trigger immediately.

    It is just the fresh urticating setae. It will lose the sheen over time

    Yeah, that's what I started to realize as well... It's fuzz.

    My 6.5" female looked the same after her last moult (wrong angle but you can sort of see it in the pic), it looks normal now.
