Ok, I'll start a new thread then since this post was ignored...

sorry, somehow i missed it.
There is a part in The Tarantula Keepers Guide about that i believe.
But other than that i cant really answer seeing as i have never done it. But i think if you held it and sort of pulled the T would try to escape and toss the leg itself to escape. If so it would seal it off.

Well, she hasn't started to dry up or smell yet but i believe her to be deceased. She was doing so well too. All of a sudden she just slowed down, stopped eating and got motionless. I am still waiting to see what she is going to do. It is a bit too early for a molt but even then I haven't seen one do this before a molt. Still hoping i am wrong...

Yep defiantly dead. well at least she had the chance to live.
