I am writing a couple of resources online and was going to put together some information on why B. Dubia are better feeders than crickets.

Does anyone know the protein breakdown or how many crickets it takes to equal the gain of a full grown B Dubia roach?

Looking for interesting facts you may know!

This has gone around the boards a number of times, sorry but don't remember what specific threads to point you to. There are some charts of dubious origin floating around.

The bottom line though is that since no one really knows what the 'best' nutritional requirements are for our spiders then it's meaningless to know what the nutritional breakdown of the feeders is...

An analysis is listed on www.doubleds.org

You can also weigh out comparable weights of each and feed the same ratio of roaches to your animals and clearly see the difference.

The main reason most people go with dubias is that they are a lot easier to keep and produce than crickets, and not to mention not having to deal with the stench of the crickets.
