So i just collected a dozen of fruit flies(flying ones), from outside, they were on some rotten oranges that had fallen off my orange trees. I looked some recipes online for their media, and i found them way too complicated, so my question is, can i just use yeast - cinnanom to cancel the mold, and just mash up some apple with banana?

Not sure if the cinnamon would help/hinder them, but otherwise a mix like that should be ok. Just be aware it'll develop an interesting odor over time and may attract a lot more from outside.
